Call for abstracts – Worcester College Energy Day 2025

The ZERO Institute is co-hosting the Worcester College Energy Day 2025, on 28 February.

The Sustainability Research Working Group at Worcester College (chaired by Dr. Krishanu Dey) is organizing the second edition of Worcester Energy Day on 28 February 2025 (1.30-6.30 pm) at the Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre (within Worcester college premises). In partnership with the ZERO Institute at Oxford, this promises to be a one-of-a-kind event which aims to gather the entire energy research community across the university to learn and appreciate the diverse research themes being explored in different groups. We would focus on all aspects of energy generation, conversion, consumption and storage and will hear about the recent advances in these fields from faculty experts, postdoctoral researchers and graduate students across the different STEM and non-STEM departments at the University of Oxford. This will be done through a mix of oral presentations and flash talks, while keeping ample opportunities for discussion and networking. This will be a great opportunity for anyone wishing to present their research and also expand their knowledge into related fields. It can also be a nice platform to practice presentation and communication skills to a broad academic audience (akin to international conferences), which are absolutely critical components of our research/academic life.

You would also need to provide a short summary of your presentation of within 150 words. If you are a first year graduate student or a senior undergraduate student and do not yet have results to present, you are highly encouraged to still register without giving any presentation. Once all the submitted abstracts are reviewed shortly after the deadline, participants will be contacted with further details. Please register early, as the spots are limited!
