Sir Christopher Ball, Oxford Climate Action Champion; former Chancellor, University of Derby and former Warden, Keble College in conversation with Prof. Paul Shearing, Director – ZERO Institute and Prof. Radhika Khosla, Programme Lead, Zero-carbon Energy Demand.
Following another summer of record-breaking heat, the need to turn environmental research into meaningful climate action has never felt more immediate. The University of Oxford continues to produce world-leading research illustrating the risks in addition to potential solutions – but given it is a large organisation with an international profile, do we need to be doing more to lead by example?
Sir Christopher Ball is the Honorary Fellow at Merton College, the former Chancellor of University of Derby and former Warden of Keble College. As an educational leader who has contributed to climate action charities, he was recognised as Oxford Climate Action Champion at the Oxford Climate Awards in 2025. Sir Christopher will be in conversation with Prof. Paul Shearing and Prof. Radhika Khosla.
The ZERO Institute is collaborating with the Oxford India Centre for Sustainable Development to produce this event. All events adhere to the ZERO Institute Events Code of Conduct.
