The Future of Shipping

In collaboration with CMA CGM, the Environmental Change Institute and the ZERO Institute, The Future of Shipping will examine the urgent challenge of decarbonising the shipping industry in an era of rapid global change.   

 

The event will feature a panel discussion exploring the future of shipping with academic and industry leaders followed by networking opportunities and career advice for students considering working in the shipping sector.

 

The panelists will be:

Farid Trad | Vice President Bunkering & Energy Transition, CMA CGM

Lucia Corsini | Associate Professor of Engineering Science, Oxford University & Head of the Circular Economy & Sustainability Lab

Jim Hall | Professor of Climate and Environmental Risks, Infrastructure Systems lead, Environmental Change Institute, Oxford University

Konstantina Vogiatzaki | Associate Professor of Engineering Science, Oxford University working on computational modelling of thermo-fluid processes in complex systems

Rene Bañares-Alcántara | Reader in Engineering Science, Oxford University developing computer-based support systems for the formulation of policies related to transport, energy & water
