Weixin is a postdoctoral researcher working on SOLBAT (solid state batteries) and CATMAT (lithium-ion cathode materials) projects funded by the Faraday Institution. He completed his PhD at Imperial College London in April, 2019 before he joined the STEM Group at Oxford University. Weixin obtained his Bachelor’s (2012) and Master’s (2015) degrees from Central South University, where he studied physical chemistry and chemical engineering.
Weixin research is the characterization of battery materials using electron microscopy and spectroscopy, including TEM, STEM, EELS, EDX and electron ptychography. His research is to understand the material local structure and chemistry, to inform material synthesis.
