Dylan Kassin is a postgraduate in Energy Systems at the University of Oxford Department of Engineering Science and serves on the Early Career Researcher Board of the ZERO Institute. His research centers on energy system resilience and low-carbon infrastructure, with a current dissertation examining pathways for the sustainable reconstruction of the Syrian grid and the integration of decentralized renewable generation. Alongside his academic work, he is a Research Assistant with SHIELD (Strategic Hydrogen Integration for Effective Low-carbon Development), contributing to analysis on hydrogen deployment strategies in Ukraine. His broader experience spans renewable energy entrepreneurship, energy security research, and cross-sector collaboration with engineers, policymakers, and civil society organizations, with a focus on translating technical innovation into practical, equitable energy transition frameworks.
