Emma Lecavalier

Climate Policy Hub, Blavatnik School of Government
Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Dr. Emma Lecavalier is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Oxford Climate Policy Hub, where she examines and assesses climate and environmental rules and regulations across global, national and subnational scales. Her work with the Hub focuses on developing the Oxford Climate Policy Monitor, a data resource tracking and analysing key areas of climate policy in over 35 countries. She also co-leads the Oxford Initiative on Green Approaches to Public Procurement (OxGAP), which investigates how public procurement can be transformed to drive green innovation.

More broadly, Emma’s research explores the technical politics of climate policy, and the role of standards, metrics, models, certifications, and indicators play in shaping sustainability governance.

Emma holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Toronto and an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford (St Antony’s).
