Industry Meets Academia Day 2025 (IMAD2025)

Industry Meets Academia Day 2025 (IMAD2025) will be held Monday (11:00 – 14:30), 12th May 2025 at  Keeble College, University of Oxford. The event is organised by the ECR Networking of the ZERO Institute, University of Oxford, aiming to foster meaningful connections between academic researchers and industry professionals working towards net-zero and decarbonisation.
IMAD2025 seeks to bridge the gap between academia and industry by helping researchers better understand industrial priorities, while offering companies fresh perspectives on research-driven solutions to real-world challenges. Topics will include solar, nuclear, wind and hydropower, battery technologies, metal recycling, and relevant policy and regulation.
The programme will feature a keynote speech, presentations by academic and industry fellows (Morning: 11:20–12:05 | Afternoon: 12:30–14:00), poster sessions over lunch, 5-minute lightning talks, and a panel Q&A to encourage open dialogue and collaboration.
Confirmed speakers include experts from the UK National Nuclear Laboratory (UKNNL), Energenics Europe Ltd, Oxford Instruments Andor, the Department of Materials (University of Oxford), and the Department of Engineering Science (University of Oxford).
Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with peers and professionals driving sustainable innovation.
