The Oxford Energy Nexus Series presents the second roundtable of an exciting collaboration between early career research networks at the University of Oxford’s ZERO Institute and the Glasgow Centre for Sustainable Energy.
The UK’s energy policy landscape is evolving to meet net zero targets, exemplified through initiatives such as the Clean Power 2030 Action Plan 2024, and the establishment of Great British Energy, among other changes. In this context, it is essential to understand the key priorities for energy sector transformation, and clearly identify the key stakeholders, whose collaboration is crucial to driving this transition.
The roundtable will feature a discussion on gender inequality in the UK’s green energy workforce (Hannah Salamon, University of Glasgow), heating as a service (Connor Innes, University of Oxford), and insights into corporate transition planning in the energy sector, alongside national transition plans (Anastasiia Rudkovska, University of Oxford).
