Based at the Oxford Martin School, the Future of cooling programme focuses on understanding and shaping sustainable cooling solutions, prioritising passive and less energy-intensive technologies to protect people and prepare countries for extreme heat events.

Royce supports world-recognised excellence in UK materials research, accelerating commercial exploitation of innovations and delivering positive economic and societal impact for the UK.  

Oxford Energy Network

The Oxford Energy Network brings together researchers across the University of Oxford who are working to address the major technical, social, economic and policy challenges of providing secure, affordable and sustainable energy for all. The Network organises term-time seminars, with topical speakers examining energy research and practice. 

Low Carbon Hub

The Low Carbon Hub is a social enterprise that develops community-owned renewable energy installations across Oxfordshire. These not only produce clean energy but accelerate the transition to the zerocarbon energy system, providing electricity, heat and a clean transport system, all powered by renewables. 

Oxford Policy Engagement Network 

OPEN is a growing network of researchers, doctoral students and professional services staff at the University of Oxford who share a vision of public policy powered by the world’s best available research evidence and expertise. 

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks 

The electricity Distribution Network Operator (DNO) responsible for delivering power to over 3.9 million homes and businesses across central southern England and the north of Scotland.
