Founders & Funders Monthly Event: Climate Tech

​Join us on Tuesday the 3rd of March 2026 for innovation and entrepreneurship-themed talks, followed by an informal networking social. Please note that spaces are limited. Approval is required for the talks, while the pub social is open to all.

​Our March 3rd edition will be co-delivered with the ZERO Founders Network, as part of the ZERO Institute.

​🎤 Speakers:
Paul Shearing (Professor of Sustainable Energy Engineering and Director of the ZERO Institute)
Paul Shearing is Professor of Sustainable Energy Engineering at the Department of Engineering Science and Director of the ZERO Institute at Oxford University. He holds the Royal Academy of Engineering Chair in Emerging Battery Technologies. As Director of The ZERO Institute, he will help to shape ZERO’s ethos, strategy, networks, research and teaching programmes. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2024.

​Hannah Scott (Oxfordshire Greentech)
Hannah Scott is the CEO of business network Oxfordshire Greentech, which aims to create a world-leading climate tech innovation ecosystem in the county, with impact beyond. Hannah leads the organisation in managing and engaging Oxfordshire Greentech’s members, connecting them with funding, identifying new customers, technologies and business expertise as well as facilitating scale-up innovation with events, programmes and projects. She also works with key institutions across Oxfordshire to advocate for more ambition around net zero in strategies for the county, and sits on the Oxford Economic Growth Steering Board.
